Profile

I hope that the intro below and the images within the galleries will give you a brief glimpse of what I've been up to in the past and what I'm doing these days.
My professional career has taken me all over the world, having traversed the globe several times chasing racing cars as I’ve been one of the lucky few professional motorsport photographers living the dream.

Having attended in excess of 550 FIA Formula One Grands Prix and numerous other forms of motorsport since the 80's, including the FIA World Rally Championship, Touring Cars, Sports Cars, Rallycross, MotoGP, Superbikes and Indycars to the P1 Powerboat World Championship, my career has been an exciting and varied journey.

Over the years I’ve won awards for my photography although that was never the objective, that culminated in 06 and 07 by winning the coveted Bronze, Silver and Gold FIM medals for powerboat photography.

My roll call of clients have included several of the world’s leading advertising agencies as my creative style of photography was always regarded as innovative and captured the moment for clients. Editorial clients have included Sports Illustrated, Road & Track, F1 Racing, On Track, Racing On, Motor Sport, The Sunday Times, The Daily Telegraph, Autosport, Autocar, Motor, Evo, Car, Auto Express, Autocourse, Motocourse, Rallycourse and numerous others including books, calendars and brochures.

I’ve been the official photographer for Williams F1, Tyrrell, JPS Team Lotus, Jaguar Racing, McLaren International, Jordan Grand Prix, Williams Touring Car, Ford, Nissan, Prodrive, Subaru World Rally Team, MG Racing and Powerboat P1 as well as several of the sponsors who adorn their creations.

My last full season of Formula One was in 2005, however, during 06 and 07 I was appointed the official photographer for the P1 Powerboat World Championship which I enjoyed enormously. Since then I attend specific events on a commissioned basis working for clients within Formula One, Sportscar Racing, Touring Cars, British Superbikes, Rallying and Historics.

My other activities centered around founding and developing the motorsport portal www.Crash.net which began life back in 1996. Having grown the business to one of the world's busiest motorsport destinations I exited the company in 2009 to concentrate on publishing.

During 2009 Icon Publishing Ltd was founded by myself and a colleague when we acquired the publishing rights to iconic motorsport titles, Autocourse, Motocourse, Rallycourse and the Hazleton Publishing archive. Bespoke publishing projects are undertaken for clients as well as producing our own established titles.
